Which corporations

Business corporations under the Canada Business Corporations Act whose current status is “Active - Intent to Dissolve Filed”. Not-for-profit corporations, cooperatives and numbered companies are left out, and so are schools, health and care providers.

What the status means

The corporation still exists. It has told Corporations Canada that it will wind up: it pays its debts, distributes what remains, and then asks for its certificate of dissolution. Until then, its directors still act for it.

What the record does not say

Why the corporation is closing, who is winding it up, and how many people it employed.

What is not here

Names of directors or any individual. Street addresses. Corporations already dissolved.
